We have recently celebrated over twenty-five years of Vipassana in Ireland. With our courses regularly oversubscribed, the Irish Vipassana Trust has decided to establish a Vipassana Centre in Ireland as soon as possible.  Having our own Centre will allow us to provide the most suitable conditions for meditation while also using the money currently used to pay rent to invest in the future of Vipassana in Ireland. 

To achieve this goal will take both time and effort and we face several substantial challenges ahead. It is estimated that the establishment of a centre in Ireland, capable of accommodating up to 120 students, will cost well over one million Euro. 

The creation of the Centre will likely evolve through a number of phases, starting with the acquisition of a suitable site. This will be followed by either the upgrading of the existing buildings or the construction of a new centre. This will be possible only through the Dana received from old-students. Every amount donated, small or large, will help this project to become a reality. As a once off donation 

As a standing order, whereby you contribute on a periodic basis, such as monthly.

As a pledge of financial support – whether as a donation or as a loan.

Your pledged donation or loan would only be activated when the fund of actual donations made, pledged donations and pledged loans reaches the necessary level to be able to acquire a centre site or property. In this way you do not need to part with funds until the project becomes viable. You will be kept informed of progress and contacted once the funding goal is reached. At that time, you will be asked if you are still in a position to give the amount pledged. You will know then that however much or little you give or lend, your donation will result in the actual purchase of the Centre.
